This is a beautiful carved stingray mounted on distressed Navy Blue planks. Each piece of the stingray is meticulously carved out of pine and then it is sanded and stained a rich dark walnut and coated with a clear gloss to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
This ready to hang large 21×21 inch plank art is handmade with 3 1/2″ pine planks and layered with ¼ inch pieces of painted wood to add depth, character and color. Each piece of wood is sanded and painted prior to assembly and then it is retouched and gently distressed to achieve a slightly aged and weathered look.
A d-ring and wire hardware are mounted on the back for super sturdy and easy hanging.
This is such a unique hand made and carved piece. Because of the variance in the wood grain there will never be two alike making this a true work of art.
